The weekend series between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Philadelphia Phillies has been postponed to a later, unspecified date, Major League Baseball announced, in the latest aftermath from more than a dozen Miami Marlins players testing positive for coronavirus.
While no Phillies players have tested positive as of yet, one coach and Philadelphia’s home clubhouse manager have tested positive, CBSSports.com reports.
This is at least the sixth series cancelled to date following the fall-out of the Marlins coronavirus outbreak, causing havoc to the MLB schedule as it scrambles to find teams to play one another when a team becomes unavailable.
With 19 players and staff testing positive for the Marlins, they remain quarantined in Philadelphia.
