A new lawsuit filed against Ghislaine Maxwell and the estate of Jeffrey Epstein by one of the victims of their sex trafficking ring claims that the then-14-year-old girl was taken to Mar-a-Lago to be displayed to Donald J. Trump, according to reporting by the Daily Beast.
Epstein showed the girl to Trump in 1995 saying, “This is a good one, right?” Trump reportedly smiled and nodded before laughing with Epstein.
The lawsuit brought by an unnamed “Jane Doe” last January, is not part of the larger case which will be paid out of a victims compensation fund set up after Epstein’s death in prison. The other victims have paused their cases while the details of fund payouts are determined.
“Doe” has continued her case independently. “Doe” claims Epstein’s estate executors and Maxwell’s lawyers of failing to turn over required documents per court orders.
According to the Daily Beast: “Doe’s lawyers have referred to her as Maxwell’s and Epstein’s “first known victim” in court filings. But on Thursday, nine more women came forward anonymously in a new lawsuit with accusations dating back to 1978. One accuser alleges she was 13 when Epstein raped her that year, and another claims Epstein sexually abused her in 1993, when she was 11 years old.”
The lawsuit makes no specific claim of assault by Trump, but it does further establish the relationship of Trump and Epstein while Epstein was running his sex trafficking operation.
