Massachusetts Senator and previous presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren talked about how Biden would work to help working families.
“I love a good plan, and Joe Biden has some really good plans,” Warren joked about her habit of talking about her plans during the campaign. “Plans to bring back union jobs in manufacturing and creating new union jobs in clean energy. Plans to increase Social Security benefits, cancel billions in student loan debt and make our bankruptcy laws work for families instead of the creditors who cheat them.”
Warren noted a theme of her campaign: that the economy is slanted to help billionaires at the expense of working families, saying that Trump’s policies favor the rich over the working.
Warren talked about how her Aunt Bea moved to Oklahoma to help take care Warren’s child when she was faced with taking care of her job or taking care of her family. Her aunt moved in with her for 16 years to help her and her family survive.
“Donald Trump’s ignorance and incompetence have always been a danger to our country. COVID-19 was Trump’s biggest test; he failed miserably,” Warren declared. “Today, America has the most COVID deaths in the world and an economic collapse. And both crises are falling hardest on Black and Brown families.”
“This crisis is on Donald Trump and the republicans who enabled him,” Warren stated.
