US exceeds 1,000 daily coronavirus death again

After two days of sub-1,000 daily fatalities, the United States surpassed that milestone again Tuesday with more than 1,100 fatalities recorded, according to data from worldometers.info.

Four states topped 100 daily fatalities: Florida, Texas, California and Georgia. Those four states also led in new daily cases reported. The seven-day running average of new cases has settled at 42,000 for the last week, with the seven-day running average or fatalities at 950.
