Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn, one of the officers who gave testimony about the January 6th Domestic Terrorist on the Capitol, reacted to anti-police sentiments from Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham.
“The stuff that you were just playing there, the Laura Ingraham, the Tucker Carlson, and…. Is that an act? That was an act? Really? Thanks. It’s frustrating. It’s really really frustrating. It’s more than frustrating. It makes you so angry. But, I’m unwavering, and I’m still going to do my job tomorrow just like i do for the last 13 years.”
Later in the interchange, Dunn says, “We’re not Americans because we have different political views? That’s what makes America, America. That’s what makes America a Democracy. What are they doing to preserve democracy? I know what I’m doing. I know what I did to preserve democracy. I protected Republicans, Democrats and Independents for the last 13 years of my life. And I’m going to do it 13 more, god willing. This is my country, too. I’m allowed to have a political opinion. That’s what makes America great. America’s great, right. Sounds familiar?”
