Scandal-ridden Fox is at it again: The Daily Beast caught Fox host and undeclared Trump advisor Sean Hannity editing an interview he had with former president and golf course salesman Donald Trump to remove a critical aspect of Trump’s declared solution to the Russian invasion of Ukraine: he’d simply allow Russia to keep the land it occupies and call it a day.
After ranting Putin never took land while he was president, Trump said in a radio interview on Hannity’s afternoon radio program Monday, “That’s without even negotiating a deal. I could have negotiated. At worst, I could’ve made a deal to take over something, there are certain areas that are Russian-speaking areas, frankly, but you could’ve worked a deal.”
However, during his propaganda hour on Fox later that night, Hannity edited the audio he played to leave out about 30 seconds of audio in which Trump explained that he would let Putin keep the Ukrainian territory Russia illegally annexed. Trump goes from saying, “I could have negotiated” to ranting about China.
The thing is, none of this will make a difference to the Fox audience, which is already convinced that the hosts are being completely above-board with them on everything, exposing significant Deep State conspiracies oppressing conservatives even though the hosts themselves don’t believe it–and they treat their audience like sheep.
