Deep in the bowels of Twitter, a lonely angry straight white man angrily pounds at a keyboard spewing his hate. Okay, not just “a” angry straight white man; probably millions. But this one in particular, Matt Walsh, has been running a years-long campaign against the LGBTQ community, including targeting hospitals where trans children seek care, which has resulted in bomb threats. Some credit Walsh with amplifying the LGBTQ hate message in the conservative movement to the point that it became a hot-button issue in this political cycle.
But what’s got Walsh’s panties in a wad today is that he got a hold of the HR outreach program on Pride Month posted on the internal employee portal of–wait for it!–Fox Corp., the parent company of the eponymous cable propaganda outlet. It’s really nothing out of the norm: recommended sources to understand hot-button issues within the LGBTQ community, events celebrating Pride month, and resources for parents to help children understand non-straight relationships. (Thinking about it, maybe those resources should be required reading for on-air talent.)

With 9,000 employees in the entertainment (not news) industry, Fox Corp. dutifully put together a program about the LGBTQ community for its employees, and this has Matty Walnuts all cracked up, to the point that he’s taking pre-emptive credit for the demise of Fox “News.” It won’t be the departure of its top attraction because he helped cost the network a $787 million settlement while simultaneously pissing off the network. It’ll be the transphobe with a podcast.
