RNC co-chair Lara Trump on Tuesday told NBC News in a statement she will not in fact be hiring Islamophobic QAnon fan activist Scott Presler to lead their ballot “chasing” operations (“chasing” we guess is the new euphemism for “harvesting”) this year, possibly because the last time Presler was officially employed by a Republican entity it ended with him getting fired from the Virginia GOP in 2016 for having sex with another man in the office and posting pics of the encounter on Craigslist.
“Scott Presler has shown what a single individual can accomplish when it comes to activating voters across the country,” Lara Trump said, praising the former Gays for Trump chair. “I look forward to having his support as both of our organizations share the same goal of getting our friends and neighbors out to vote in this crucial election.” Presler did not respond to NBC’s request for comment.
