A private meeting of about 40 Michigan Arab-American leaders with fat former President Trump’s “shadow Secretary of State” Dick Grenell at a Troy restaurant on Tuesday night went poorly, attendees tell NOTUS.org about the effort to capitalize on Biden’s weaknesses with the community over his support for Israel’s destructive, borderline genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.

One participant said the fucking idiot “repeated Jared Kushner’s statement about beachfront property, which I think floated like a lead balloon in the room,” referring to Kush’s punchline from February about clearing Gaza to build Mediterranean resorts. “This is either too naive or too stupid of him to say something like this. Even the Israeli press made fun of Kushner when he said that,” said another, who also mocked Grenell for repeatedly acting like the largely meaningless “Abraham Accords” were a sign of Trump’s “brilliance” on the maddeningly complex matters of foreign policy.

“Frankly, the guy – I don’t want to say bad stuff – is clueless on the Middle East,” the source continued (not clear if “the guy” is Grenell or Trump), saying “typical Republican” things and “Fox News stuff” about the conflict. Attendees had a number of conditions for supporting Trump: Support for an immediate ceasefire, which isn’t happening, funding for UNRWA, also not happening, and a ban on supporting militaries that violate human rights, and you guessed it. All Grenell, described as “unsympathetic to the Palestinians,” could offer was an empty promise to not try again for a Muslim ban the way Trump did immediately upon being inaugurated in 2017. “Grenell also seemed more concerned about how Arab American leaders in Michigan could help the Trump campaign rather than how the Trump campaign could help them,” NOTUS writes in summary about the meeting.
