Biden signs bill making bald eagle official bird of the US

President Joe Biden on Tuesday signed into law a bill formally declaring the American bald eagle the official bird of the United States, something that until now had carried no legal weight despite the raptor being associated with the nation for more than 248 years, the Associated Press reports.

It’s not clear what the legal weight of this official declaration now entails however.
