Trump advisor Sean Hannity is using his hour of nightly airtime on Fox to broadcast a telethon for Herschel Walker, the Texan nominated by the GOP for a Senate seat from Georgia who has been bombarded by legitimate claims that he funded the abortion of a girlfriend, as well as a series of other embarrassments like flashing an “honorary sheriff” badge he got like he’s a real deputy.
I watched about 5 minutes of this rally featuring South Carolinians Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, and Walker did not speak once in that time. He made sounds, but he didn’t say a discernable word or phrase, and certainly not a sentence. But Tim Scott, who claims Walker is “putting his life on the line” for Georgia, got a standing ovation for saying conservatives aren’t going to be bullied, with Lindsey Graham and Sean Hannity nodding approvingly at his performance.
