Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett rejected an appeal by a Wisconsin group that wanted to reverse President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness because they had to pay off student loan debts so everyone must have to suffer under that burden, too.
The Associated Press reports Trump-appointee Barrett turned away without comment an appeal by the Brown County Taxpayers Association, which wanted an immediate injunction to stop Biden from canceling up to $20,000 in student loan debt for some people holding federal student loans.
Brown County Taxpayers Association had lost every round of its lawsuit before being curb stomped by Barrett, who oversees appeals cases coming from Wisconsin and neighboring states.
