Louisiana Senator Cassidy declines to run for governor

Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, perhaps the most surprising random Republican of among those who voted to convict fat former President Trump at the end of the second impeachment trial, on Friday announced he won’t be running for governor, WDSU reports. Fellow GOP Senator John Kennedy also expressed interest in succeeding term-limited Conservative Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards in 2023, as has asshole far right Attorney General Jeff Landry.
