After presiding over the indictment of disgraced Republican Party leader Donald Trump and having the defendant’s son dogwhistling threats, New York Judge Juan Merchan and his family have been subjected to numerous threats from deluded Trump supporters, NBC News reports.
Merchan and his family have received “dozens” of threats, according to city officials. Additionally, New York County District Attorney and various staffers in his office have been receiving threats since rumors of a forthcoming indictment started. The threats–which have been sent via phone calls, emails and good ol’ fashioned snail mail–have so far been vacant, but with Republican leaders like Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor calling for unrest because of the indictment of Trump because they want to undermine the Constitutional judicial system for fear it will operate fairly and equally, resulting in a Trump conviction.
