Meet Republican Minnesota state senator Warren Limmer, a man desperately in need of a toke. Limmer took to the floor of the state senate decrying the proposed bill that would update aspects of Minnesota’s cannabis law, which would allow people to grow up to eight plants (but only have four mature ones) and possess up to five pounds of marijuana at home.
Most curiously, however, Limmer doesn’t seem to understand how conversation from metric to Imperial measurements work, claiming “just two ounces is equivalent to three joints.” Now, I don’t know what Limmer smokes, but a pretty standard commercial pre-roll joint has just one-half gram of flower in it. That’s 0.017% of an ounce. So unless Warren’s rolling a major fatty worthy of the Guinness Book of World Records that holds somewhere near 19 grams of weed, two ounces would actually roll between 120 and 180 joints.
