The Hill – probably some time before noon EDT on Sunday: “Actor and former WWE star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden on Twitter Sunday. Johnson tweeted ‘As a political independent & centrist, I’ve voted for both parties in the past. In this critical presidential election, I’m endorsing @JoeBiden & @KamalaHarris. Progress takes courage, humanity, empathy, strength, KINDNESS & RESPECT.‘” and then the tweet will be embedded directly in the article as if it were necessary after writing the quote of it.
The article will continue “The Fast and Furious franchise star blah blah blah has stayed out of politics throughout his career and blah blah blah blah something about WWE’s Linda McMahon being in the cabinet and Trump’s appearances at old WWF shows.”
Then the comments will be a lot of “So?” and “Who cares?” and “The SHILL needs to report on this one Black guy in Missouri who was caught on tape punching a white woman in a MAGA hat” as Trump fans spin up their usual deflections unintentionally making this endorsement more consequential than it actually is.
There. I just saved you four minutes of your life. Unless you want to mock the MAGA trolls for saying they don’t care yet they’re commenting on the story anyway. That’s fun sometimes.
