Dammit, the “treason” part was good. Would’ve fit in well with the Trump joke. Could’ve even kept it going into the lede with the whole trying to remain in office in defiance of the Constitution part. You could almost say Conde’s like the Trump of Africa… Or maybe more accurately that Africa has a lot of Trumps because Donald is like a corrupt third-world despot, which is an editorial insight that’s about as fresh and original as our annoying lie by omission headlines.
