We have quite a lot of unfinished articles in our archives, though few of them were actually pretty much complete but mothballed for want of either a little polish or the right time to print them. This roundup of angry MAGA reactions to now-convicted felon former President Trump getting heckled angrily by the crowd at the Libertarian Party’s convention last Saturday isn’t too stale and serves as a snapshot of a very brief liminal window in which this was he and his fanboys’ biggest problem.
“I used to be very active in the Libertarian Party, but I was a small ‘L’ libertarian, and failed too many purity tests. I’m convinced they don’t really want to win elections, they want to be unique, like someone with metallic green hair or a trans person” – Top comment on Twitchy’s article. You’ll notice a there’s few of these “I was once just like them but then I grew up”-type posts, lol.
“Libertarians are liberals high on pot. Don’t pander to those idiots” – Top comment on the DailyWire’s article, written as if Trump hadn’t just pandered to them by promising to pardon a cyber drug lord.
“APPEARS THAT LIBERTARIANS HAVE AS MUCH CLASS AS DEMOCRATS – IN A WORD NONE!” – Top comment on BizPacReview.com’s article about Trump pledging to commute the sentence of that Ross Ulbricht asshole, serving life for trying to hire hitmen to kill witnesses who threatened to expose his dark web market that trafficked heroin, child porn, and other Libertarian “party supplies.”
“Chase Oliver of Georgia, a Libertarian Party presidential candidate. was none too pleased at Trump’s appearance. ‘The truth is, I don’t like having a war criminal on this stage, I don’t feel he deserves a spot on this stage,’ Oliver said. It’s idiots like Chase Oliver why most Americans don’t take libertarians seriously” – Top comment on PJ Media’s article. Again, what the fuck was Trump doing there if he was not in fact taking them seriously and trying to get them to endorse him?
“You have to be a seriously mental reject to not like Trump as a President. I get if you didnt like his personality, his speech, his tan, or whatever, but as a President he was great for EVERYONE” – Top comment on the Breitbart article “Trump Vows to Put a Libertarian in His Cabinet.” Lol. No notes.

“Watching and listening to the raucous, immature Libertarians, shouting back and forth at each other and President Trump, it occurred to me that a political party founded by a serial tax dodger, with its cause celebre to release the online drug trafficker, Ross Ulbricht, that advocates for wide open borders, should never be in control of anything. Trump’s pledge to commute Ulbricht’s sentence is in direct contradiction to his call to make his offenses a capital crime. Nonetheless, he gave the screaming misfits exactly what they wanted to hear. Will their 1-2 percent be worth the cost?” – Top comment on RSBN. What cost? When was anything like this ever a dealbreaker to MAGA voters?
“There is no point in voting libertarian. Throw your weight behind Trump, he’s not only the future, but the future of libertarianism as well. Libertarians will get where they want in the near future regardless if they support Trump or not, but it’s a complete waste of time to fight him, or his supporters” – Top comment on WeLoveTrump Report’s article. We’re sure plenty of Libertarians are regular visitors to WeLoveTrumpReport, read that comment, and were sold on Donald.
"Gun to your head, who would you vote for? Joe Biden or Donald Trump?"

“The fact that Trump tried, and is attempting to talk with the party and find common ground is a good thing. I am a libertarian, got my card and everything, and I think this was an outstanding opportunity and clear indication of his willingness to reach across divides to find a common ground. I am definitely voting for Trump in 2024” – Top comment on Fox News’s article. Oh wow, talk about throwing us a curveball with that affirmation of continuing to support Trump.
“This is a good test for President Trump. He is walking into the belly of the beast with his head held high” – Top comment on the Gateway Pundit’s article. He walked in with his head held high but walked out with steam coming out of it after all the abuse he got from the crowd he couldn’t rig.
President Trump didn’t get “booed” like the mainstream media falsely claims. In reality, a bunch of RFK JR crazies took over the first few rows of the Libertarian Convention. Most Libertarians beyond the first few rows loved Trump’s speech. https://t.co/wWHuGmVGFG

“I used to be a dues paying, card-carrying member of the LP. Then I realized the necessary passiveness of the Libertarian Party makes it extremely easy for the Left to steamroll anything in their path. Libertarianism is a lot like Socialism. You can make a good case for it on paper. But in reality, everyone has to be on board, and it can only really work in small, homogeneous groups. The US is neither small, nor homogeneous. Unfortunately, it takes a heavy hand to beat back the Left from implementing their radical agenda. Libertarian governance paves the way for parents to castrate their own children. It paves the way for males to rape women and girls in their locker rooms. It allows for ‘dragqueen’ story hour for children” – Top comment on RedState’s article.
“Trump showed good sense and a lot of courage by speaking at this convention. He took the heckling in good stride knowing that the libertarians are a little nuts by nature. The man went to the south Bronx. He wants fringe voter’s support and many will vote for him and hopefully help elect him in November. Guys got chutzpah” – Top comment on the New York Post’s article.
Lots of what appeared to be paid agitators at the libertarian convention tonight.
From what I could tell, the overwhelming share of the actual libertarians in attendance were enthusiastic and supportive of Trump.
Thanks to the leadership of the Libertarian Party!

To my friends in the Libertarian Party: please nominate Donald Trump tomorrow!
Regardless of what happens tomorrow, Trump still won tonight.
He won the hearts of libertarians all over America as they watched his speech, which showed commitment to freedom and the Constitution.

And Mike Lee’s schizophrenic takes after getting booed off the stage will wrap this up for us. Waste not want not on content, even if, as we said, the MAGAverse has bigger problems now.
