ABC News shuts down FiveThirtyEight

Disney-owned ABC News announced overnight they’ll be shutting down polling data aggregator FiveThirtyEight and laying off all 15 staffers as part of a “restructuring,” CNN’s Brian Stelter reports.

So yeah, 2024 was the last election the obsession-inducing forecast model and polling averages and all that shit toyed with the emotions of politics fans which, unless some other major media outlet hires them, leaves us with the fucking rigged bullshit RealClearPolitics average for 2028.
