Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will at 11 AM EDT on Friday morning officially tender his resignation and his successor, fellow Liberal Mark Carney, the former governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013 and governor of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020, CTV reports.
Carney steps in to a dramatically changed political situation for Canada's Liberals, who had been on their asses prior to convicted felon US President Trump's return to power. The imposition of tariffs and the threat of more from the fat fuck sapped the initial excitement among Canuck Conservatives and led to them turning against American right wingers. Canada's Liberals now go into the next period with renewed momentum and Carney's favored to survive elections expected this spring.
