Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who go the job by failing to prevent his boss Donald Trump from getting convicted of 34 felonies last year, on Wednesday teased Fox News fans with some QAnon-flavored rage porn by leaving the door open to “treason charges” for the “Deep State” officials who leaked the postmortem assessment of the strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Not for nothing but wouldn’t “Deep State” intel operatives – who are (A) trained in all manner of deception and trickery (B) how to communicate clandestinely and (C) have managed to elude Trump and his “white hats” for four years, five months, and five days now – be not especially challenged by getting away with leaking (probably not actually classified info) to reporters? Like should anyone really bet against them this time? Moreover, you would think that, given past performance where Tusli Gabbard fired those guys who wrote the report saying that Nicholas Maduro’s regime isn’t controlling Tren de Aragua, that Trump and his minions would just fire these analysts who concluded that the damage to Iran’s nuclear program was just a medium setback and that would be it. That these guys haven’t been shitcanned should tell you they’re unfireable and they know it. Which gives them carte blanche (pun intended) to leak and they don’t give a fuck about these empty threats.
