Cops in Cour d’Alene, Idaho have identified 20 year-old Wess Roley as the psychopath who started a forest fire and then killed two firefighters and wounded a third in a sniper attack on Sunday, the AP reports. Anecdotal information on Twitter strongly indicates what you would have already concluded just by the fact that it’s Idaho and it was a horrific act of terrorism: Roley was MAGA.
Oh and the New York Post reports that the shooting happened 24 years to the day after the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department burned down the former compound of the Aryan Nations as part of a training exercise. The property was donated to the department after the Neo-Nazi group lost a court case against the Southern Poverty Law Center, who sued over the attempted murder of an Indigenous American woman who had walked too close to the compound. Interesting coincidence.
