Citing the differences between the New York Times and the New York Post’s reporting on the raid on former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton’s home in Maryland on Friday morning, the New Republic’s Greg Sargent highlights how the Post does not mention a judge approving a warrant, writing “Federal agents busted into Bolton’s house in Bethesda, Md, at 7 AM in an investigation ordered by FBI Director Kash Patel, a Trump administration official told The Post,” while the Times writes “Asked about the visible FBI presence at Bolton’s home, a spokesperson for the bureau said agents were ‘conducting court-authorized activity in the area.'” Soooooo… Yeah, that’s weird.
Also note how the Post’s timestamp says “7:12 AM” EDT, and thus 12 minutes after the raid began.
