In response to growing international recognition of a Palestinian State, Israeli dictator Benjamin Netanyahu’s regime plans to annex certain parts of the West Bank currently already occupied by settlers in what Axios reports is “retaliation for the imminent recognition of Palestine” by Australia, Canada, France, the UK, and others at the UN General Assembly next month.
So yeah, that’s the plan: Spite. Axios notes that convicted felon President Trump twice in his first failed administration commanded Netanyahu not to go through with annexations and Bibi obeyed. This time however Israelis are, per Axios, claiming that the fat fuck and his minions” “won’t oppose annexation because they’re so angry at the countries planning to recognize Palestine.”
It’s not clear how safe of a bet that is given some fairly significant shifts in recent months.
