“Hey, you said wheel, bro.”
Ahem. The New York Post reports that Grammy-winning country singer-songwriter Brett James and two other occupants were killed when a single-engine Cirrus SR22T plane crashed in Macon County, North Carolina on Thursday afternoon. While it’s not 100 percent clear he was behind the “wheel,” the aircraft was registered to James. His credits included the headline 2006 Carrie Underwood hit for which the jokes write themselves, Taylor Swift’s “A Perfectly Good Heart,” Brantley Gilbert’s “Bottoms Up” and Rascal Flatts’ “Summer Nights,” and a shit ton of other hits that were scarcely if ever heard on terrestrial radio stations in the New York City region over the last few decades.
