US Capitol Police have opened an investigation into Ohio Republican Congressman Dave Taylor’s office after footage of a web meeting revealed that one of his staffers, Angelo Elia, had that interesting and creative twist on the American flag hanging on his cubicle wall, Politico reports.
“I am aware of an image that appears to depict a vile and deeply inappropriate symbol near an employee in my office,” Taylor said in a statement. “The content of that image does not reflect the values or standards of this office, my staff, or myself, and I condemn it in the strongest terms.”
“No further comment will be provided until it has been completed,” Taylor added. It’s not clear what the Capitol cops have to investigate since it’s technically not a crime to be a Neo-Nazi or for a Republican congressman to hire one, so it’s obviously some sort of attempt at ass-covering.
Politico points out that this comes less than 24 hours after they printed their story about the rampant gas chamber jokes in the Young Republicans’ group chat, which Elise Stefank denounced…
This is @EliseStefanik with one her allies in the NY Young Republicans who was in that hateful group chat.
She’s full of ways to take away your healthcare. She’s empty on taking action against hate. Just like her boss @JDVance. https://t.co/Bv2DmQhZFF

…but kind of forgot to delete her tweet where she was hanging out with the one of the porky Nazis.
