Florida has become the third state to identify a case of the B.1.1.7 strain of the coronavirus that has swept through England, WTVJ NBC-6 in Miami reports.
The patient, a male in his 20s from Marin County, has no history of travel out of the region. He has been placed in isolation.
The first case of the B.1.1.7 strain was reported in Colorado, where a second case is suspected. The two patients there were National Guard members who were working at a senior care facility. California confirmed a patient with the coronavirus variant yesterday.
