Trump spokeswoman Erin Perrine apparently inadvertently confirmed that Donald Trump will debate presumptive Democratic Presidential Nominee three times in the upcoming months, Politico reports.
The Biden campaign had proposed three debates back in June, but the Trump campaign refused to acknowledge the proposal or put one of its own forward.
“’Yes, we have agreed with the debate commission’ Perrine said in response to a Fox interviewer’s question about whether there was a formal understanding to appear in the three televised confrontations with Biden,” Politico wrote.
The format of the debates has not been released. Trump did not do well in 2016, with most viewers determining Hillary Clinton handily won all three debates between the candidates.
