Matthew Calamari Jr. , the Trump Organization’s corporate director of security and the son of the company’s chief operating officer, is one of two Trump Org employees subpoenaed to testify before a Manhattan grand jury investigating corruption at the company owned by Donald Trump, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Calamari is expected to be questioned about unreported benefits and perks he and his father received, including a free apartment and use of a company-owned vehicle, while on the Trump Org payroll.  It is illegal for a company to compensate someone without reporting it and without paying the required taxes on a local, state and federal level.

If he is called to testify, Calamari would receive immunity from any further prosecution in this case.  That grant of immunity means he cannot invoke the Fifth Amendment to protect against self-incrimination.  His father, however, might want to look both ways before the bus runs over him.

The other Trump employee to be subpoenaed is Jeffrey McConney, a senior finance official at the Trump Organization, who testified before the grand jury previously, prior to the company and its Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg were indicted in July on 15 separate counts relating to the failure to report income.

Nicholas Gravante Jr., the Calamaris’ lawyer, denied wrongdoing by his clients and said: “If either of my clients are subpoenaed to testify before the grand jury, they have no choice but to do so, and will appear and testify truthfully.”

Calamari, Jr. joined the Trump Org in 2011 as a member of its security team, before being promoted to head of security six years later.  His father, who also started on the company’s security team, rose to be the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
