Russian President Vladimir Putin is not saying whether or not he’ll run again in 2024, per his comments to an investment forum in Moscow on Tuesday via Reuters. “Whether or not I do this is yet to be decided, but the very existence of this right (to run) is already stabilising the domestic political situation” said Putin, referring to the law passed last year which “reset the clock” on his term limits, preventing him from becoming a lame duck. Then again, Putin could just be planning on canceling the election and remain in power indefinitely, thereby also removing the need to “run” again for the office he’s held for the better part of the last two decades.
