A box truck ran into the back end of a school bus that had stopped to let off children in Alma, Georgia resulting in six students and the bus driver injured and the driver of the truck dead, the Associated Press reports.
The bus stopped at around 3:30 p.m. to discharge the children when the Ryder truck driven by 25-year-old Johnathon Grayer struck the back of the bus, which still had 10 students on it.
Bus driver Jerry Sweat and six students were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Grayer survived the crash but died later at a hospital.
