Lynda Blanchard, former Trump administration ambassador to Slovenia, will drop her Alabama Senate bid and challenge sitting GOP Governor Kay Ivey in the primary, AL.com reports. Last month the Wall Street Journal reported that Blanchard, who had fallen out of Trump’s good graces by faking his endorsement – which she then lost out to insurrectionist Congressman Mo Brooks – had been in discussions with the Donald to change races and take down Ivey over a July 3rd Trump rally that had been canceled by the USS Alabama Memorial Commission.
