Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is missing, and people are beginning to notice. The scrutiny has gotten so loud that DeSantis has taken to trying to deceive people by posting a photo of his visit to a bagel shop two weeks ago.
DeSantis’ absence in Florida comes as the state has been experiencing an upshot in the number of coronavirus cases identified in the state, even though DeSantis’ administration has attempted to obscure the actual data reflecting the devastation in the state, with more than 50,000 cases reported in each of the last two days.
DeSantis posted on his Twitter account a photo of him visiting a bagel shop in Ocala, Florida, encouraging viewers to patronize the business. Unfortunately for DeSantis, the business had posted the same photo when DeSantis visited the shop on December 17th.
Christina Pushaw, a DeSantis spokesperson, has said the governor is on vacation with his family, but has not disclosed where. While DeSantis has not addressed the health crisis in state, he has found time to make some appearances on Fox.
