Obnoxious headline aside, Senator Joe Manchin – along with his fellow foot blister Kyrsten Sinema, plus Republicans Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski – did vote yes to confirm leading Supreme Court candidate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to a seat on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals just seven months ago, so this could be a largely drama-free nomination process.
