Child sex trafficker and friend of Donald Trump Ghislaine Maxwell lost her appeal to have her conviction overturned due to a bias juror, a man who had been abused as a child but failed to reveal the information in a juror survey, the New York Times reports.
Maxwell’s lawyers argued that the juror’s history would have made him more prone to fine the defendant guilty, nullifying the opportunity for a fair trial. The judge disagreed, allowing the court to sentence Maxwell in June.
