Jonathan Moseley, a defense lawyer representing a number of MAGA terrorists over their involvement in the Capitol riot, was disbarred in Virginia last week for violating “professional rules that govern safekeeping property; meritorious claims and contentions; candor toward the tribunal; fairness to opposing party and counsel; unauthorized practice of law, multijurisdictional practice of law; bar admission and disciplinary matters… and misconduct,” Politico reports. The defenestration could cause serious problems for Moseley’s Oath Keeper client Kelly Meggs, among the eleven members of the terrorist group indicted for seditious conspiracy.
Moseley has also represented “Stop the Steal” douchebag Ali Alexander in his litigation against the House January 6th Select Committee and Proud Boys captain Zachary Rehl, though Moseley withdrew from Rehl’s case in December. Moseley is not a member of the DC Bar, however he is (or was) permitted to work federal cases in the District – contingent on good standing in other bars.
