Whoever this reporter is, we need more of him and less of the Chuck Todds out there. Just damn good and ballsy journalism. Greg Lopez’s website seems to try to sell him as a centrist-ish Republican as the items on the “Issues” page (which is quaint in and of itself that a Republican still pretends his voters give a fuck about actual issues of governance) are pretty boilerplate stuff, some of it you wouldn’t even be able to tell if a Republican or a Dem wrote it. Even the “elections” section doesn’t say anything about “banning Dominion machines”, “forensic audits of every election”, or any of that kind of bullshit. It’s all just bland copy on reforming the redistricting process, with a few sentences devoted to repealing the automatic voter registrations, calling it “forced”.
It’s not until you get to “Education & School Finance (Pre & K-12)” which lists off batshit Jim Jordan-style talking points like “Critical thinking has been replaced with ‘Critical Race Theory’… Home economics have been replaced with putting condoms on fruit… Metal/Woodworking shop classes are replaced with gender studies” that shows Lopez is juiced up to his eyeballs on the MAGA Kool-Aid, making him a strong candidate for the Orange one’s complete and total endorsement.
