Russian President Vladimir Putin gave an ominous warning that the Russian military will target new, previously untouched places in Ukraine if Western nations give Ukraine long-range missiles capable of hitting deep into Russia, the Washington Post reports.
In published comments released prior to a recorded interview airing on Russian state television–in Russia, not Fox because it’s Sunday and Tucker Carlson has the night off–Putin seems to be reacting to a promise made by US President Joe Biden to provide Ukraine with missiles that can hit targets about 50 miles away.
Putin’s unclear threat may mean that he would order missiles to be aimed at civilian population centers or cities in the central part of Ukraine that have largely been sparred from attack.
