President Joe Biden on Friday nominated abortion-rights lawyer Julie Rikelman to the First Circuit Court of Appeals, Reuters reports. Rikelman, who represented Jackson Women’s Health Organization in Mississippi in the case that Republicans wrote and engineered to overturn Roe v Wade, is among nine federal judgeship nominees Biden submitted on Friday.
