The RNC featured a couple pretaped segments to capitalize on their subtheme of violence to strike fear in their base.
Ann Dorn, the widow of a retired police captain who was killed while responding to an alarm at a friend’s pawn shop, describe in graphic detail the murder of her husband. She said no peace can occur so long as people treat others like they’re a video game.
Then came Pat Lynch, the president of the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York.
“You won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America,” Lynch said before following up threatening. “We can have four more years of President Trump in America, or you can have no safety, no justice and no peace.”
It sounded like a threat that his New York City police officers would not protect citizens if they voted against Trump.
