A Colorado-based “Hotshot” wildfire parajumper was killed Wednesday battling a wildfire in Oregon after he was struck by a falling tree in the Willamette National Forest, NBC News reports.
Collin Hagan, from the Craig Interagency Hotshots out of Colorado, was killed in one of the 59 active wildfires burning in Oregon. The fire he was battling is 0% contained and has consumed nearly 120 acres, having been started by a lightning strike.
