Asked by Fox host and Aryan cosplayer Laura Ingraham if she’s knows for sure that there were no classified documents pertaining to nuclear capabilities in the boxes of government property Trump stored behind an unguarded locked door at his Mar-a-Lago supper club and crash pad, Trump’s unknowingly pro bono lawyer Christina Bobb gives a less than convincing answer:
I don’t believe they were. … I… eh… I have not spoken to the President about what nuclear… ah… er… materials may or may not have been in there. I do not believe there were any in there. The legal team has done a very thorough search and we’ve turned over, we’ve been very cooperative with, ah, the Biden Administration and the DOJ and turned over everything that we found, that we had. My understand, on very good belief on a thorough investigation, is that there was nothing there.
Am I hearing this right? Is this lawyer claiming her legal team–who are not government lawyers and presumably do not have security clearances–went through all the papers, including the classified information, to decide what needs to be turned over? And if they “turned over everything,” how come there were at least 12 boxes of materials in a basement room just two months ago? It seems Ms. Bobb doesn’t really know what she’s talking about.
