That’s not a verbatim quote in the headline. What Congressman Mike Turner actually said was “It depends on what the nuclear information is. You can say nuclear weapons. There are things that are highly classified. There are things that are not extremely classified,” in response to a question.
Turner was one of the more level-headed and “normal” Republicans who spoke at this shitshow of a press conference (which we reported earlier was canceled – not incorrectly as this one was called by a different group). Markwayne Mullin asked reporters “Where’s this same media frenzy when there was 33,000 classified emails on a server in a bathroom with Hillary Clinton?” which was six years ago. Funny enough after she lost Devin Nunes sponsored and then Trump signed a bill increasing the criminal penalties for mishandling classified information.
