Even though a generic Man from the state is the epitome of deadly stupidity, the Republican nominee for Pennsylvania governor says he wants the commonwealth to be “the Florida of the North,” a statement that won’t win him any voters in the Keystone State.
Bragging that Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will travel to Pennsylvania for a rally this weekend, human pencil eraser Doug Mastriano said, “Oh, it’s going to be fantastic. W- We heard from him and his team a couple weeks ago asking if we interested in, ah, in doing a rally in Pittsburgh, and I’m like, are you kidding me? Heck yes, because my goal as governor of Pennsylvania is, uh, make Pennsylvania the Florida of the north because he set the gold standard for the good a governor can do, ah, leading a state.”
For the record, under DeSantis, Florida is the least affordable state to live in in the nation. He’s attacked the state’s largest private employer. He’s prompted dozens of lawsuits with his racist, misogynist and homophobic policies. He jeopardized the health of ever person in his state by propagating fraudulent medical information. And his state education system can’t find enough teachers because of his dictatorial policies, and his state education system ranks in the middle of the pack.
