The governor of the northeastern Ukrainian region of Kharkiv claimed Monday that troops had, in parts of his territory, driven Russian troops completely over the border during the sweeping offensive that saw a total collapse of Putin’s forces in the area in the last few days, the AP reports.
“In some areas of the front, our defenders reached the state border with the Russian Federation,” wrote Kharkiv Governor Oleh Syniehubov. The claim could not be verified independently.
