Arizona Dem Congresswoman-Elect Adelita Grijalva on Tuesday told Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman that she expects that her state Attorney General Kris Mayes will file a federal lawsuit seeking to compel Speaker Mike Johnson to swear Grijalva in finally after weeks of holding out.

“Since first learning of George Santos’ actions, I’ve been at the forefront of bringing him to justice. I am proud of the work my office has done, and the – conviction achieved in partnership with the US Attorney’s office. Only about 22 percent of the applicants for FEMA disaster assistance after the July 4th floods that ravaged Kerr County, Texas have been deemed eligible to get financial help so far, the Texas Tribune reports on another failure by the Trump Regime to help even its own voters when they’ve suffered.

Nearly four months after the cataclysmic flood that left at least 117 dead in Kerr alone – including 27 campers and counselors at the Camp Mystic Christian sleepaway camp for girls – 1,749, or less than half the 3,228 applications have made it past the eligibility review stage as of October 11th. Of those, only 709 were deemed eligible while 775 were denied, many of whom had stopped responding or withdrew. The 22 percent rate is significantly below the 39 percent pre-2025 average.

Did K$H order the FBI to stand down or did Jeffries ask the local DA to get involved to preempt another pardon from the Orange God Emperor? Even weirder is the Dutchess County DA releasing a statement saying “Although my office was not contacted during the investigative stage of this matter, we are now reviewing the case for legal and factual sufficiency,” just minutes ago.

Joining late so, missed a gem from Speaker Mike Johnson stupidly drawing attention to the Epstein shitshow, saying “Suddenly now, they’ve somehow convinced themselves that the Epstein files will be damaging to President Trump and Republicans in some way that they’ve imagined, and so they feign outrage,” as though that’ll convince Dems to back down from the discharge petition.

As for the actual violence and arrests, there is one report out of Kent, Ohio in which a 20 year-old male, who is said to be a Trump fanboy, shove a woman during the town’s local No Kings march on Saturday. Kent Councilman Jeff Clapper, a Democrat, told the Akron Beacon-Journal he had “no idea what led up to” the altercation. “But I wasn’t going to let it stand. So I grabbed him and forced him to the ground. Then I heard he had a gun, so we restrained them.” Clapper said he’d heard that the man, identified as Bryce Sobodosh, is MAGA but he’s not so sure. “Being a Trump supporter or not had no bearing on my actions. I just saw him push a woman, and that is not OK,” said Clapper.

Sobodosh faces felony charges of receiving stolen property and carrying a concealed weapon and will go before a judge on Friday. No social media presence or voter registration in Sobodosh’s name could be ascertained by National Zero, but it’s hard to imagine what the point in carrying a handgun and then shoving a woman at a No Kings rally would have been if it wasn’t to “counterprotest.”

Following a thorough investigation, Moynihan was arrested and arraigned before the Town of Clinton Court. He was remanded to the Dutchess County Justice Center in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, a $30,000 bond, or an $80,000 partially secured bond. Moynihan is scheduled to appear in court on October 23,” says the New York State Police in a press release.

According to CBS News, the member of Congress was House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Moynihan texted someone to say “Hakeem Jeffries makes a speech in a few days in NYC I cannot allow this terrorist to live” and “Even if I am hated, he must be eliminated, I will kill him for the future.”

Moynihan, who entered the Senate chamber during the January 6th, 2021 insurrection, was found guilty in August 2022 of obstructing an official proceeding, and pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor charges. He was sentenced in February 2023 to 21 months in prison. Thus, unless there was some extraordinary and extremely unlikely delay in his sentence, it’s a near certainty he was not one of the ones who would have still been in prison at this point if not for Trump pardoning him in January.

Regina Aviles, 35, joined Gonzales’s staff in 2021 and at some point since separated from her husband after she began effing the 43 year-old married congressman and father of six. Why the mother-of-one doused herself with gasoline and lit a match in the backyard of her home in Uvalde on September 13th is not known, just that it was caught on a home security cam and that Gonzales did not attend her funeral on the 25th. A spokesperson did not deny the affair to the Mail.

The Uvalde Police Department – not exactly an examplar of bravery in law enforcement – blocked the release of public records related to Aviles’s death, even though in Texas records are routinely made public no matter what stage an investigation is at. Cops have withheld the 911 call, video evidence, and police reports while they’ve petitioned Picasso-face Ken Paxton to keep the files sealed. Adding to the mess is that Uvalde PD Chief Homer Delgado disowned an endorsement of Gonzales that the congressman’s staff had tweeted and later deleted on request of the chief.

Gonzales has canceled a shit ton of public events since Aviles’s death. Some, present company included, had for a while considered the congressman to be among the least bad of a pretty fucking bad caucus full of the criminally insane and morally debased. Now while there’s no evidence just yet to suggest that Gonzales had driven Aviles to set herself on fire, the void of information and the shadiness around her death does nothing but invite a shit ton of speculation to that effect.

If that’s the case, then yeah, Tony Gonzales is worse than Cory Mills, as incredible as that sounds.
