Rubio, Scott, Donalds, other Florida Republicans are sooooo fucked

“We write to you in support of the nomination of Maria Corina Machado for the Nobel Peace Prize. In our work as policymakers who strive for democracy and human rights in the face of dictatorial regimes in the Western Hemisphere and beyond, we have rarely witnessed such courage, selflessness, and firm grasp of morality as we have in Maria Corina Machado. She has risked everything to rally the previously flagging spirits of the Venezuelan people. They have suffered 25 years of oppression, torture, murder, and economic deprivation at the hands of the Chavez-Maduro regime who has systematically undermined democratic institutions and perpetuated a regional crisis of monumental proportions. Machado stands as a beacon of hope and resilience,” says an August 26, 2024 letter to the Nobel Prize Committee signed by then-Senator now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio, then-Congressman now-UN Ambassador Mike Waltz, Senator Rick Scott, House GOP members Neal Dunn, Carlos Gimenez, Mario Diaz-Balart, Maria Elvira Salazar – and Byron Donalds, who luckily has already been endorsed by convicted felon President Trump in his gubernatorial bid.

They were not the only qualified nominators to give Machado the nod. Nor were they even the first as ten days earlier the presidents of Miami Dade College, Florida International University, St Thomas University, and Barry University had, on behalf of the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora and Florida exile group Inspire America, formally submitted their nomination letter backing Machado.

But (A) that’s not going to matter to the fanboys should Laura Loomer or someone find out about what Rubio and pals did last year and (B) the fanboys wouldn’t exactly be wrong given the known record of Congressional Republicans’ nominations for anyone other than Machado or Trump during the 2025 submission period from February 1st, 2024 to January 31st, 2025: There are no others.

Orange Idiot surprised China retaliating, cancels meeting with Xi

Convicted felon President Trump on Friday announced in a Truth Social post that he has “always felt that” the Chinese Communist regime “have been lying in wait, and now, as usual, I have been proven right” about their rare earth mineral export fuckery but also that Beijing’s move “was a real surprise, not only to me, but to all the Leaders of the Free World. I was to meet President Xi in two weeks, at APEC, in South Korea, but now there seems to be no reason to do so. The Chinese letters were especially inappropriate in that this was the Day that, after three thousand years of bedlam and fighting, there is PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. I wonder if that timing was coincidental?” and Jesus Christ lol somebody put grandpa to bed already it’s been a long day and he’s sundowning badly.

Mike Johnson, other GOP leaders mad

Jesus Dork Speaker of the House Mike Johnson was spitting mad on Friday, almost to the point where he might rip open his shirt and reveal his SuperEvangelical costume. Some choice quotes included “If you’re a service member who’s lacking a paycheck, it’s because Chuck Schumer has to appease the Marxists. Plain and simple. Same on you Chuck. Every Senate Democrat is going along with this. You lack to moral fortitude to do the right thing,” and “Millions of people are experiencing real pain because these political games. And you think after 44 years in Congress, Chuck Schumer would know better, but it seems apparent now that he spent too long in Washington to understand.”

UPS just destroying international packages held up by Trump

Parcel service UPS tells NBC News they’re simply “disposing of” some of the untold thousands of internationally-shipped packages held up in its facilities by the Trump Reich’s Kafkaesque customs regime rather than try to figure out how to sort out all the new paperwork and tariff requirements.

This reporter can attest that this is not universal as on Thursday he received via UPS a €114 speeding ticket from the City of Florence, Italy from six months ago – though that was just an envelope. It did however ultimately meet the same fate as the packages UPS gave up on, lol.

Thirsty fanboy says he’s introing bill to overrule Nobel committee

MAGA Georgia Congressman Buddy Carter, vying for his Holy Orange Allah’s endorsement in the Peach State’s Senate GOP primary, told Fox News on Friday he’s introducing a bill to award the fat fuck with the Nobel Peace Prize without really getting into the details of how that would work.

Majority say US government has too much power: Gallup poll

“Sixty-two percent of Americans say the federal government has too much power, with most of the rest saying the government’s power is about right. This latest reading, the first in Donald Trump’s second term, is up from 51 percent a year ago and is the highest in Gallup’s trend since 2002, by two percentage points. The prior high was 60 percent, recorded during Barack Obama’s second term, in 2013 and 2015. The current figure is also well above the 53 percent average ‘too much power’ reading since Gallup first asked the question in 2002,” says the findings from a new Gallup survey.

Naturally there’s a partisan bent even as the flip was disproportionate: “The uptick this year in views that the government has too much power reflects shifts among partisan groups. Democrats (and Democratic-leaning independents) have become much more likely to say the government has too much power, surging to 66 percent from 25 percent in the past year. Republicans have moved in the opposite direction, but to a lesser degree, falling to 58 percent from 75 percent last year.”

Peruvian President Dina Boularte unanimously expelled from office

Members of Peru’s Congress on Friday voted unanimously to impeach and remove the wildly unpopular corrupt idiot President Dina Boularte from office over what might have been the low-hanging fruit of incompetently handling a surge in violent crime in the Andean nation, the AP reports.

The 126 members present in the unicameral 130-seat chamber had voted first to bring up the impeachment articles and called on Boluarte to come and defend herself against the charges. She did not take them up on the offer and they promptly voted 126-0 to expel her from office.

The Congress’s president, Jose Jerí, a 38-year-old lawyer, was sworn in early Friday as the interim president to serve out Boluarte’s term, which ends on July 28th, 2026. Jeri is now the third leader in the mountainous South American nation since the last presidential election in 2021. Boluarte herself had been the veep and assumed power in Peru in 2022 to complete the term of then-President Pedro Castillo, who was removed the same way after he attempted to dissolve the Congress.

Machado had been praised by high-level US conservative leader

A top American conservative had previously praised 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Corina Machado earlier this year, writing “Venezuelan democracy activist Maria Corina Machado and President-elect Gonzalez are peacefully expressing the voices and WILL of the Venezuelan people with hundreds of thousands of people demonstrating against the regime. The great Venezuelan American community in the United States overwhelmingly support a free Venezuela, and strongly supported me. These freedom fighters should not be harmed, and MUST stay SAFE and ALIVE!”

You already guessed which top US conservative this was, lol. He posted it on January 9th, 2025.

Holocaust denier MAGA Reich official also a sex pest: report

Paul Ingrassia, the Holocaust-denying MAGA influencer nominated to lead the Justice Department’s Office of Special Counsel is, unsurprisingly a typical MAGA sex pest and a pretty fucking amateurish one at that, Politico reports. Sick story short: Ingrassia, currently in a staff position as White House liaison to Homeland Security, had in July traveled to Orlando with a lower-ranking female colleague and others from the Trump Regime. Arriving at the city’s Ritz-Carlton, the woman found out at the front desk that her room had been canceled, upon which Ingrassia told her she had to stay with him.

Then the woman found out that Ingrassia had been the one who had canceled her hotel room. She had intially pushed back but, per sources, did not want to cause a scene in front of the team, so she backed down and stayed with Ingrassia and slept in separate beds. There was no further incident but the woman reported the episode to HR but later withdrew the complaint fearing backlash.

Ingrassia’s lawyer denies he was the one who canceled her reservation and that’s probably the smart move given that it’s such a fucking grade school-level attempt at putting the moves on a woman. Like holy shit did the accidentally touch her hand or pretend to have a stiff back and ask for a shoulder rub not work so you had to try forced overnight proximity instead? Good God.

Trump loses Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan dissident

“The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize to Maria Corina Machado for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy,” says the Nobel Prize Committee in their announcement of the annual laureate for their highest honor.

Letitia James indicted in Virginia

New York Attorney General Letitia James was indicted by a federal grand jury for bank fraud in Virginia on Thursday, the second of convicted felon President Trump’s retribution targets to face some pretty stretchy charges, the Guardian reports. Insurance lawyer-turned-acting-US Attorney for Virginia’s Eastern District Lindsey Halligan personally presented to the grand jury, a move said to be extremely unusual and indicative that none of the actual prosecutors on her team wanted to do it.

Republican-linked firm buys Dominion

Liberty Vote, a poll book software firm founded by Republican former St Louis elections director Scott Leiendecker, has bought up Dominion Voting Systems for an undisclosed sum, Axios reports.

Which, per Axios, is the reason why the company reached a string of settlements recently with all the MAGA propagandists it had sued following the 2020 election, including Newsmax, Rudy Giuliani, the Kraken, and OANN. If that strikes you as ominous there is a flipside as Dem Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar vouched for Leiendecker, calling him “open, honest and transparent.”

Mamdani 46 – Cuomo 33 in NYC after Adams dropout: QU poll

A new Quinnipiac University survey of New York City voters finds socialist Dem nominee Zohran Mamdani leading disgraced former state Governor Andrew Cuomo 46 to 33 percent with assclown vigilante right wing radio host Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa in third at 15 percent.

It’s the first major poll conducted after idiot Mayor Eric Adams dropped his reelection bid, something that Team Cuomo were counting on to turn things around, their mantra being “The first step is that Eric Adams has to get the fuck out of this race” and all good things would follow, they said.

Aaaaaaand here we are with the esteemed jackass out of the race and Zohran’s up 13 percent.

“Oklahomans would lose their mind if Pritzker in Illinois sent troops down to Oklahoma during the Biden administration”: Stitt to NYT

Oklahoma Gov Kevin Stitt on Thursday told the New York Times he doesn’t agree with neighbor Gov Low Energy Greg Abbott’s call to send hundreds to Texas National Guard troops to pretend to do shit in Chicago, saying “Oklahomans would lose their mind if Pritzker in Illinois sent troops down to Oklahoma during the Biden administration,” adding “I was surprised that Governor Abbott sent troops from Texas to Illinois. Abbott and I sued the Biden administration when the shoe was on the other foot and trying to force us to vaccinate all of our soldiers and force masks across the country.”

“As a federalist believer, one governor against another governor, I don’t think that’s the right way to approach this,” Stitt continued in his woke RINO-ish hateful rhetoric interview.
