A man armed with a gun gained access to the grounds of the 88-acre Ottawa estate that is the official home of Canada’s Prime Minister and the country’s Governor General.
Neither Prime Minister Justin Trudeau or Governor General Julie Payette or their families were at the estate at the time of the incident.
The unidentified man was spotted on the grounds at 6:40 a.m. ET and was taken into custody without incident.
