According to a tweet from Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), the Trump Administration has notified Congress that the United States will withdraw from the World Health Organization effective July 6, 2021.
Congress received notification that POTUS officially withdrew the U.S. from the @WHO in the midst of a pandemic.
To call Trump’s response to COVID chaotic & incoherent doesn't do it justice. This won't protect American lives or interests—it leaves Americans sick & America alone.

President Trump has repeatedly blamed the WHO for the spread of the coronavirus in the US, despite his claims made February 26th that “we’ll have close to zero cases… in the next few days.”
Right wing pundits and trolls blame the WHO for the spread of the coronavirus out of China and accuse the organization of conspiring with the Chinese government to hide the spread of the virus.
The United States current has 3 million recorded cases, with more than 130,000 fatalities.
