Presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden tweeted a photo of him paying his respects to the late civil rights icon and Georgia Congressman John Lewis, who died July 17th at the age of 80 after battling pancreatic cancer.
John — march on, dear friend. May God bless you. And may you continue to inspire righteous good trouble down from the Heavens. pic.twitter.com/lqg9SGxYNE

President Trump, however, chose not to attend the ceremony. His public schedule had one event on his morning agenda: greeting a veteran who had walked 300 miles to Washington, DC from his home in North Carolina to bring attention to veterans suicides. He did, however, find time to tweet or retweet more than 40 times this morning.
Trump informed the media that he would not be attending the memorial as he left the White House to travel to North Carolina for a factory tour.
